LOOKING FOR NEW STORIES

When I had the honor to be the only producer for a little film called BEYOND THE GATES OF SPLENDOR (FOX), the opening line narrated by Steve Saint was, "Every family has a story and our story begins...."  Today, I am reminded of this same powerful statement about each one of us having a story to tell.  You have your story, what is it?

JESUS TOLD STORIES...WHY?

Christ told stories and they were called "parables". The reason he told these stories is because He knew people would remember stories, even more than just preaching or teaching.  Stories help us all remember what is important, life lessons and beyond. So one of the keys to having success in this business of transitioning a book from a film is the "power of story" is seeking out the best stories possible.  This is the very reason why the FILMMAKER'S ROUNDTABLE was started. 

WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A COUPLE STORIES

When your book is adjudicated, our team is truly seeking the next story we can make into a film. We do not consider "success" until we actually see improvements, change and the process begin in making a movie until completion.  When you go through the process, are approved and beginning to chart the new course for production, this IS considered the beginning of your marathon.  The gun will have sounded and we as a team are your co-runners in a very long and profitable race. However, the marathon will not begin, unless you are willing to launch your story into the waters of reality.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

Are you willing to invest financially?  Do you have enough stamina creatively, to hear honest reviews from high quality screenwriters from the Writer's Guild of America render you professional critique? Do you have ears to hear and eyes to see from people who have been in the film business over forty years?  If you do, you are in the right place.

SELF PUBLISHING - BEWARE
There are many self publishers out there in the world and unfortunately, many of them are not ethical.  There are many companies in the industry in chartered waters where their sole motivation is to make money and get as many customers through the process.  We do not measure success in quantity, but in the quality of the story and the ability to make the movie.

APPRAISAL WITH PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
If you are making movies, while adjudicating, our hats are off to you.  If you have a business to just "take from authors", we have no interest In partnering with your organization.  If you are a publisher and just interested in mass sales, regardless of the quality of story, we are not interested.

THE POWER OF THIRD PARTY REVIEWS
What we are interested in, is taking a third party look at your story, sharing with you the strengths, weaknesses and giving you a written report that has true meaning.  This process is not fast.  The process is described throughout our website, but please go look a the Frequently Asked Questions for more details.
